I don't really have a lot to say about this hat. It fits a little tighter than I like hats to fit, but pretty sure it's meant to be more of a beanie, so don't think I made any mistakes. It would actually fit a kid pretty comfortably, IMO. I added a pompom because I wanted done with this yarn. It's an acrylic/alpaca blend, which I didn't realize when I ordered it, and it just doesn't feel as nice as real alpaca. Is also has some crazy random straight fibers in it which just looks like the cat slept in your work basket. I have 1 more ball of this stuff, but won't be buying any more of it. Not a fan.

The pattern is very simple, well-written and the crown decreases are typical and easy to do. Not sure how I feel about it being bandless, even though it being a little different is what attracted me to it in the first place. Somebody will definitely like it and I got a chance to use my new cable needles which were burning a hole in my pocket.. well in my little treasure box of such things.
